There are a lot of Airbnb, VRBO, and hotel options in the nearby neighborhoods of Ballard, Freemont, Greenwood in Seattle. Those neighborhoods are generally fun and safe. Here are two hotels in a lively part of Ballard. (Avoid staying on/near Aurora Ave = WA 99. )
